You may know her as the weekly finance and business contributor to the Afternoon Drive with John Maytham Show, or from her various stand-ins on other programmes, including Breakfast and The Money Show. Now she is joining talk radio station Cape Talk permanently as the voice behind their new daytime show, Upfront with Refilwe Moloto, on weekdays from 9am till 12 noon.
The blurb on Cape Talk’s website describes the programme as follows:
“Upfront with Refilwe Moloto gets you up close and personal with Cape Town while reflecting international trends and events. Listen, learn and connect when it comes to your finances, your health, your future, your partner, your passport and more”.
Refilwe believes in the value of viewing the world through an economic lens, as economics is the foundation on which society – often unknowingly – rests. So these conversations, she says, should not be left just to the experts. Just as tax is supposed to be a general subject in schools; so our country has failed to explore the world of business from an academic and economic growth standpoint.
