Mamello Matikincais a chief economist of First National Bank. She plays a critical role in providing macroeconomic insights to FNB and the broader First Rand group and its clients.
She began her career at the Bureau for Economic Research in Stellenbosch, one of South Africa’s respected economic research institutions. She served as a member of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council, where she was one of the policy advisors to President Cyril Ramaphosa. She is a non-executive director of Kagiso Capital.
Mamello has also served as a member of the National Council on Innovation and a member of the Statistics South Africa Consumer Price Index (CPI) advisory committee.
