Mark Tanton is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Red Cap Energy (Pty) Ltd, a private company dedicated to developing renewable energy projects in South Africa. Since its establishment in 2009, Red Cap Energy has been at the forefront of driving sustainable energy initiatives in the country. Mark is also the founder and director of Kaelo Energy (Pty) Ltd.
Mark’s extensive expertise and passion for renewable energy has led him to serve as a Director of Red Cap Kouga Wind Farm (Pty) Ltd and the Gibson Bay Wind Farm (Pty) Ltd. He also holds a position on the board of the South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA), an organisation he previously chaired. Additionally, he served as a board member on the South African Renewable Energy Council.
Mark was selected as one of the Recharge 4040 global new energy leaders in 2014, and was honored with the prestigious Wind Energy Pioneer Award by SAWEA in 2015.
