Laura Poswell is an international development consultant with more than 20 years experience working at the intersection of research, building effective programmes at scale and strengthening systems on the African continent. Her work spans education, youth employment, violence prevention and girl empowerment.
As former Executive Director for J-PAL Africa Laura fostered collaborations with governments, civil society partners, donors, and researchers to integrate evidence into policy-making and programming.
During her tenure with FUEL Trust she worked in partnership with South Africa’s Department of Basic Education to enhance the delivery of the National School Nutrition Programme. She previously worked as a researcher for the Development Policy Research Unit at the University of Cape Town.
Committed to equitable education, Laura’s passion lies in enabling all children to access quality learning and shape their life paths. She holds an MBusSc (Economics) from the University of Cape Town.
