Nicky Roberts is the director of Kelello Consulting, a small research and evaluation agency offering technical support services to government departments and other investors in public education. She focuses on the development of mathematics and languages (African languages and English) and the effective use of technologies. Nicky holds a PhD in mathematics education (Wits) and two masters in education (Cambridge and UKZN). She is interested in how children learn and systems change in public education. She is widely published. Her latest edited book Early Grade Mathematics in South Africa was released in 2022. Nicky tries and fails to be one quarter-decent story-telling mathematician (with aspirations as a design engineer), mother, wife, and human.
