Gilbert Pooley

Co-Managing Director at Umuzi

Gilbert Pooley is the co-managing director of Umuzi, which he runs with YALI Fellow Andrew Levy. Umuzi works at the intersection of education, technology and creativity to address youth unemployment and inequality. Gilbert is passionate about supporting more people to realise their potential and access high-value careers. For his sins, he started his career at the Boston Consulting Group in London. After moving back to Joburg to work for the Clinton Health Access Initiative and open the BCG office, he ran a boutique consulting company in Bryanston.
