Riedwaan Jabaar is Co-founder and COO of PPO Serve (Professional Provider Organisation Services). PPO Serve is a shared services hub start-up for clinicians with a vision to create transformed, commercial healthcare systems that compete on the right basis to make healthcare more affordable for the South African population.
He was a Discovery Health Executive Committee Member, as well as a member of both Operations and Risk excos until March 2015.
His latest position at Discovery was that of Head of Health Intelligence, a unit comprising all the major data, analytics and business intelligence and innovation functions within the business supporting the operations and strategic halves of the health business. The purpose of the Unit is: “Driving business excellence and innovation which is grounded in quality insights.” Previous units he headed included Risk Intelligence, Business Intelligence and Clinical RND.
Riedwaan’s educational background is a B.Sc. (Unisa) MAP (Wits) MBA (Gibs) specializing in Finance. His Dissertation topic: Corporate social responsibility in an inequitable society: the role of the private sector in the bridging the South African health care divide.
