Khumo Shuenyane

Chairman: Investec Bank Limited

Khumo Shuenyane has served as an independent non-executive director of Investec Limited and Investec Plc since 2014. He also serves on the boards of a number of other companies within the Investec Group, including Investec Bank Limited (where he serves as Chairman of Investec Life and Investec Property Fund). He was appointed as an independent non-executive director of Vodacom Group in 2020.

He worked with Delta Partners, a global advisory firm focused on the telecoms, media and technology sectors, in various capacities for six years from 2014. Between 2007 and 2013, Khumo served as Group Chief Mergers  & Acquisitions Officer for MTN Group.

Khumo worked for Investec Bank for nine years, serving as head of Principal Investments for three years and a member of Investec’s corporate finance team before that. Prior to joining Investec in 1998, Khumo worked for Arthur Andersen in Birmingham, UK and in Johannesburg for six years. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995.

Khumo is a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Institute’s Global Leadership Network. He is married to Ndileka and has two young children. He enjoys road cycling, travelling and spending time with his family.
