Tandi Nzimande

CFO, Women’s Development Bank Investment Holdings

Tandi NzimandeTandi Nzimande‘s key responsibilities include the financial oversight of WDB, participating in the management of WDB’s portfolio of investments, as well as playing a strategic role in Group. Tandi’s role includes executing transactions and monitoring of ongoing investment relationships. She also sits on the steering committee of the WDB Enterprise Development Fund, which is still in its pilot phase. The WDB Group’s objective is to promote economic access and women’s empowerment, particularly for women located in the rural areas. Prior to joining WDB, Tandi was the owner manager of Postnet in Northwold. Before that she was a Senior Associate in the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank, where she spent five years gaining experience in Mergers and Acquisitions in South Africa and internationally. Tandi Nzimande completed her BCom degree at the University of Cape Town. She received her B.Compt from UNISA whilst doing her articles at KPMG, where she qualified as a chartered accountant on completion of her articles. She also has a Higher Diploma in Company Law from Wits. Her directorships include FirstRand Limited, Maemo Motors and Masana Petroleum Solutions where she also chairs the Audit and Risk Committee. Tandi is married to Meluleki Nzimande and they have three children: Asanda (11), Zanamuhla (seven) and Qhawekazi (two). During her spare time, she loves cooking, reading, the gym, and spending time with family and friends. Her belief in life is that you make your own reality; bring positive energy into your life by treating everything and everyone (including yourself) with love and acceptance.
