Anas Madhi is an executive director of Meago, a boutique financial services firm, set up in 2006, with asset management, investment and advisory divisions. The company focuses predominantly on the property sector and associated sectors requiring significant property investment, healthcare, hospitality, retail. Anas started his career as a medical doctor prior to joining Rand Merchant Bank within its corporate finance team. He also has managed the biotechnology divisions of the South African subsidiary of the healthcare company, Hoffman-La Roche. Whilst he spends most his time as an investment professional, he remains involved in the healthcare sector as an advisor to the medical industry specifically within public health and donor funding spheres, and as well as a founding trustee of the Hummingbird NRCR Foundation, which funds charitable initiatives in healthcare and education, utilizing an innovative financing model for sustainable funding for charities. This blend of varied financial, entrepreneurial and social interests point to adventurous mind and restless soul, best soothed by his wife and three children and their combined love for travel to areas off the beaten track. Anas is a Fellow of the ninth class of the Africa Leadership Initative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
