Tamara Esau heads up the Management Consulting Team for KPMG in Cape Town, her area of specialization is in the Financial Management Advisory Services, Prior to joining KPMG, Tamara designed and implemented the pilot phase of the “Dell Young Leaders Programme” for The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation when they launched their offices in South Africa in 2010. The program aims to increase the persistence of financially vulnerable university students by providing psychosocial and augmented learning offerings. To date 366 bursaries have been awarded. Currently, Tamara is a Trustee of the Mitchells Plain Bursary and Role Models Trust, which provides bursaries to over 55 students for their tertiary education. Tamara qualified at PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent 13 in various roles in the internally and with the external professional bodies, Saica and ABASA. She is a qualified CA(SA) and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting from UCT, where she also completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting.
