Herman Steyn is the founder and CEO of the Prescient Group. Prescient was launched in 1998 as an investment management firm and evolved into the Prescient Group which consists of Prescient Holdings, Prescient Capital and PBT operations. The business operations of Prescient Holdings include investment management, investment administration, unit trust management, a life company, stockbroking, wealth management and property investment management. Globally the administration service is offered in Ireland whilst investment management is offered in Namibia and China. PBT houses the IT operations of the group. PBT is operational in 19 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Australia.
Herman studied B. Bus. Sc. Majoring in Actuarial Science, Statistics (Honours) and Economics at the University of Cape Town.
Herman is a main board member of the Association for Savings and Investment-South Africa.
