The ALI SA fellowship is a testament to the power of collective leadership. As external challenges reshape the landscape, we remain focused on solutions that strengthen our community and drive meaningful progress.
Navigating the complexities of our global landscape reveals the significant impact that external factors can have on our progress. Recent decisions affecting aid to Africa underscore the need for self-reliance and independence. As leaders within the ALI SA network, we must adapt and innovate in response to these challenges, ensuring that our collective efforts remain resilient and effective.
At ALI SA, we’re witnessing a surge in momentum and engagement within our fellowship. This year promises to be filled with exciting initiatives, from the upcoming Africa Impact Forum, our second Good Society Seminar for alumni Fellows, to our continued Venture Workshops and Dialogues. These events not only foster collaboration but also provide platforms for you to share your expertise and drive meaningful change.
Recently, we hosted a lunch with Class Representatives, moderated by Stace Lindsay, where we explored the “Meaning of Fellowship.” The discussion highlighted the sense of belonging and shared identity that defines our network. It was a powerful reminder that our journey together is about more than individual success; it’s about collectively striving for a greater purpose.
Following our impactful dialogue with SALDRU on the Shadow Economy and Extortion, there was a strong call to action to establish a working group focused on addressing these critical issues. We invite interested Fellows to join this initiative by contacting us. Your participation will be invaluable in shaping concrete solutions and driving positive change.
As we move forward, let’s continue to harness our collective strength and commitment to ethical leadership. Together, we can build a more resilient and prosperous future for South Africa and beyond.
Thank you for your ongoing engagement and leadership.
