Ravi is the Executive Director: Economic Development, City of Johannesburg. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, a Certificate in South African Executive Leadership (State-Owned Enterprises), University of London/ SOAS; Certificate in Management Consulting Skills, Wits Business School; Certificate in Managing Development Policy, Harvard University; Certificate in NGO Management, University of Manchester; and a Bachelor of Commerce (Law), University of KwaZulu-Natal.
