Chenai Chipfupa is the Operations Officer at the Africa Leadership Initiative South Africa (ALI-SA). In this role, she supports the organisation’s strategic and operational goals, contributing to the effective delivery of leadership and fellowship programmes across the region.
Prior to joining ALI-SA, Chenai worked with the Executive Director of the ALI Bloomberg Media Fellowship Programme, where she co-ordinated financial journalism training fellowships in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria. She also gained experience supporting the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Fellowship Programme in South Africa.
Deeply passionate about social impact and mental health advocacy, Chenai founded Norahope in 2015—a blog dedicated to addressing depression among young adults and raising awareness about the importance of mental well-being.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Development Studies from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
